The free check

When you run the check, the website address you typed is used to read that site’s public homepage, and a short excerpt of it, plus the questions you approved, goes to Google’s Gemini API to produce the answers you see. That is the whole trip. We don’t ask who you are to run it, and the business being checked is never contacted.

Answers are kept on our server for up to a day, so a repeated question can be shown from that day’s run, and the page says so when you’re reading a kept one. Your network address is used for a few minutes at a time to rate-limit the check against abuse; it is not kept as any kind of profile.

The “one free check a day” rule rides in one small cookie in your browser. It counts your finished check for the day and expires by itself within two days. It identifies nothing about you and tracks nothing across sites.

If you email us

Your message and address sit in our email inbox, a real person reads them and replies, usually within a day. We use them only to answer you. No drip campaigns, no sales sequences. We don’t sell or share your information for marketing.

Who else handles it

Two companies are involved in delivering this site:

• Google: the Gemini API produces the answers, and Google Fonts serves the two typefaces.
• Vercel: hosts the website.

Doing that, they may process basic technical data such as your IP address. Each runs under its own privacy terms.

What we don’t do

No analytics, no ad trackers, no tracking cookies, no selling data. The one cookie named above is the only thing this site puts in your browser.
